We took a slight detour to allow a stop in Ruston, LA so we could enjoy the thrills of College Football, which is a massive deal in the US particularly the south. The games get upwards of 100,000 strong crowds, and for the some of the bigger games it seems as though it’s harder to get tickets than it is for the professional leagues. To be honest, the game itself (for us not in the know, at least) was fairly boring, but the experience as a whole was a lot of fun; the cheerleaders, marching band, big screen (including a less than successful “kiss me” segment) and massive cheering crowd all contributed to an electric environment.
