Sun-baking on a pebble beach, walking through the food and flower market and enjoying a Ben & Jerry’s was how we spent our day in Nice - how nice!
In the evening we went for the short 30-minute drive abroad to Monaco where we basked in the disgustingly rich glory of its inhabitants and guests, trying to decide which of the 4 cars parked side by side we’d rather drive home (the Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin or Bently), and debating whether the gift-shop/parking attendants were on the average $US150k wage* for their time.
*$US150k is the GDP per capita, but doesn’t sound as cool in a short, witty sentence.
