After a successful recognisance mission to the Louvre (to discover the practically deserted alternate entrance), we enjoyed lunch in the sun beside the Seine.
Being such a sunny day it was the perfect opportunity to visit the stunning St. Chapelle. The delicate stained glass windows of the (High Gothic) church we breathtaking (or maybe that was the stair-climb beforehand?).
Paul and Beth went to a two hour macaroon course where they churned out some pretty fine examples of the French sweet!
Then it was off to a pub crawl in the delightfully seedy Quartier Pigalle around the Moulin Rouge. The first stop, Oz Cafe, kind of set the scene for the quality of establishments we visited. Much fun was had (I think).
