Verona - the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet - was a lovely stopover on our way to Milan where we explored Juliet’s Balcony, the Arena di Verona, climbed the clocktower and had a picnic lunch by the river.
Arriving in Milan just in time for Aperitivi, we we happy to discover the bar near our apartment - ”Cheese" - had the best cocktails yet, and quite the delicious buffet.
